Back to the Lab!

Roughly speaking, it's been three months since the start of the semester (half until the end!) and our laboratory class in Physics has never been fun! In the past three months, we were already able to do around four experiments: one on measuring grains of rice, another on calculating the densities of coins, estimating the value of \(g\), and just recently, playing around with a balance. All of them were fun, and I learned a lot of things from them.

But despite that, it is fun to remember what happened during the first meeting we had for this physics lab.

If I did remember things correctly, our first meeting for this class was on the 26th of January, 2015. I woke up early to get to class, and arrived NIP at around 7:45 am. One part of me was excited because this will be my first laboratory course in UP and also I was wondering on the experiments we will do. While waiting for class to start I met my classmates and friends, and they too (I think) were somewhat excited with what we will be doing during the whole semester.

At last when it was time for class, around 8:30, we were ready inside the laboratories and was waiting for our professor. Considerably, if I was right, our professor did arrive a little later than I expected. But it was ok, maybe he was busy or something. I was too busy myself, thinking of what to expect in this class.

Finally, when he did arrive, I was thrilled because our professor was actually the same professor in our Physics 10 class. I was glad to know that he was our professor in the laboratory, especially knowing his joyful aura.

We didn't really do much that day. Our professor introduced himself and told us his background in physics, after which we introduced ourselves in class. Then our professor discussed on what to expect - the experiments and analysis we will be doing, and the rules in the laboratory. I was glad to know that we will be doing a lot. I got even more enthralled to be in his class when he said that some (maybe most) of our reports will be done through making a blog. Now that is something I would really like to do. I thought it best to use my pre-existing blog for this class and right now I am! I am thankful for my laboratory professor that he gave us the right to make our reports via blog-making. It makes writing reports somewhat easier.

After the discussion, we were dismissed, and me happy, and excited for the many things we will be doing inside the lab.
